Picture of Neil Dargie

Based in Newport-on-Tay, Fife, Dargie Architect was established by Neil Dargie in 2021, with the core aims of delivering simple and imaginative architecture, built to high standards and grounded in the principles of energy efficiency and sustainable design.

Neil graduated from The University of Dundee in 2008 with a Masters in Architecture. With over 16 years of practice-based experience working in studios throughout Scotland, Ireland and England, Neil has won awards and recognition from his peers and the construction industry for his work, having led as Project Architect on dozens of projects across multiple sectors. Notable projects have included new, extended and renovated houses, a swimming pool building, office renovations, an estate management complex, and mixed use retail units. 

Neil is presently a part-time year 3 architecture studio tutor at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, and is an examiner with APEAS, Scotland’s body for Examination in Professional Practice and Management (also called the Part 3 Examination) in architecture. 

Neil is a fully certified Passivhaus Designer.
