New Build Houses
New Build Architects in Fife
This development of two new houses in the town of Newport-on-Tay occupies a former railway embankment site in an urban setting.
The contemporary designs ensure the houses make the most of the available garden ground, protect the views that the neighbours enjoy of the surrounding landscape, and bed in seamlessly into the locale.

Set on a north facing slope, a cut was formed in the site to ensure the houses are of low impact visually, with their single storey height, monopitch roof and calm, natural materials and tones allowing them to bed in neatly between the existing historic buildings.
Plot A
This plot is the larger of the two. The plan has a stepped floor to work with the contours of the site, leading to external, private courtyard areas.
Plot B
This plot has a more constrained boundary. Rooflight windows and a focus on orientation ensure the buildings capture the maximum amount of south light.
